Option 1: OBD Constant Power Bundle

This power-packed bundle included an OBD constant power adapter that allows your dash cam to record events even when your vehicle is powered off.

Here's how:

• Step 1: Plug in your OBD power pack into your OBD port that's located about the drivers side kick panel (just above your left foot)
• Step 2: Secure your dash camera to your windshield in your desired location. We always recommend placing it in the middle of the windshield, just below your rearview mirror
• Step 3: Plug in your long USB power cord into your dash camera on your windshield
• Step 4: Run your USB power cord wire up to the headliner console and conceal your wire by tucking it into the headliner console, then run the cable to your left to the drivers side A-Pillar.
• Step 5: When you reach the A-Pillar, gently hide your wire under the plastic trim that covers your A-Pillar airbags
• Step 6: When you reach your driver-side weather-stripping, simply pull it out from the door and run your wire behind the weatherstripping (in the door) from the A-Pillar down to the drivers-side kick panel.
• Step 7: Remove your kick panel and run your wire across the kick panel and then up to your OBD connector. Tuck any extra wire in your kick panel. Reattach your kick panel.

Option 2: Dash Cam Power Adapter Bundle

• Rearview mirror power adapter - provides constant power when the vehicle is on. Compatible with 4Runner's with auto-dimming rearview mirrors or mirrors with backup camera image in the mirror.
• THIS OPTION PROVIDES CONSTANT POWER ONLY WHEN THE VEHICLE IS ON. THIS OPTION DOES NOT PROVIDE CONSTANT POWER WHEN THE VEHICLE IS OFF 

The power adapter harness in our kit will plug directly into the power source for your factory rear view mirror.

Dash Cam Power Adapter Compatibility: In order for this bundle to be compatible with your 4Runner it does require you have an auto-dimming rearview mirror or a rearview mirror with an LCD backup camera screen.

VIEW AND SHARE VIDEOS
Saved videos are stored securely in the online Vault and can be accessed by using the Garmin Drive app. With an LTE subscription or Wi-Fi® connectivity, share video clips with others by sending a link and passcode.

LOCATION TRACKING
Enjoy the convenience of checking on your vehicle’s location anytime when using the Garmin Drive app. This feature requires an active LTE subscription.

LIVE VIEW
With an active LTE subscription, you can access a live view from your dash cam anytime when using the Garmin Drive app. Some vehicles will require use of the Constant Power Cable.

INCIDENT DETECTION
When an incident is detected, this camera automatically saves video from just before, during and after it happens to help capture a full recording of the event along with GPS location, date and time.

THEFT ALERTS
If someone drives your vehicle without your phone inside, you’ll receive an alert through the Garmin Drive app. This feature requires an active LTE subscription.

PARKING GUARD
When your Garmin Dash Cam Live detects an incident affecting your parked car, you’ll receive a notification in the Garmin Drive app, with a video clip of the detected incident. This feature requires an active LTE subscription.

CRISP HD VIDEO
With 1440p HD video, a wide 140-degree lens and Garmin Clarity™ HDR optics, this dash cam records crisp footage of important details, day and night. Use the 3” LCD display on the camera to align the camera and change the settings.

AUTOMATIC RECORDING
Once plugged into your vehicle’s power source, the camera continually records, so you can set it and forget it.

LTE SUBSCRIPTION
Activate an LTE Vault subscription plan in the Garmin Drive app to enable location tracking, theft alerts and parking guard notifications. LTE connectivity moves beyond the limitations of a Wi-Fi connection so you can access a live view from almost anywhere, anytime.

VOICE CONTROL
Keep your hands on the wheel, and use voice commands to tell the camera to save video, start and stop audio recording, take still pictures and more. This feature is available in English, German, French, Spanish Italian and Swedish.

FORWARD COLLISION WARNINGS
To encourage safer driving, get alerts if you’re driving too closely to the vehicle ahead. Certain conditions may impair the warning function.

LANE DEPARTURE WARNINGS
Receive alerts if you drift off the road or into oncoming traffic. Certain conditions may impair the warning function.

“GO” ALERTS
This feature notifies you when stopped traffic in front of you has started to move.

RED LIGHT AND SPEED CAMERAS
This camera’s got you covered with alerts for nearby red light cameras and speed cameras (not available in all regions).

TRAVELAPSE™ FEATURE
Share your drive with friends by using the Travelapse feature. Easily condense hours of driving footage into minutes of highlights for a fun, creative video.

MEMORY CARD INCLUDED
Ready to use right out of the box, this dash cam comes with a preinstalled microSD™ memory card (no separate purchase needed).

CONSTANT POWER CABLE
Certain vehicles will require a Constant Power Cable (sold separately) to run continuous power to your Garmin Dash Cam Live device. Plug into your vehicle’s OBD2 port to run power to your dash cam, even when your vehicle is parked and turned off.

DASH CAM VIDEO SYNC
The Garmin Drive app can control and play back synchronized video from up to four dash cameras (sold separately) mounted around your vehicle to capture video from multiple viewpoints.

DURABLE BY DESIGN
This dash cam is built to withstand harsh vehicle environments, including direct sunlight and hot interior temperatures.

EXTRA USB PORT
You won’t have to choose between powering the dash camera and keeping your phone charged. The included charger has an extra USB port, so you can do both.
