Material Construction
The domed finish has a raised 4 mm profile and three-layer construction: UV doming resin for a high-gloss, scratch-resistant surface; a decorative substrate providing the selected finish; and 3M automotive-grade adhesive backing. Substrate options include real carbon fiber, chrome, camouflage and factory color matches.
Real Carbon Fiber (Raw) has a raised profile of 1 mm.
Installation
Align each overlay directly over its corresponding raised letter on the rail on top of the tailgate. These pieces cover raised lettering rather than filling recessed letters. Surface preparation and installation can be completed in approximately 15 minutes.
