Redefine side protection with Not Your Typical Rock Sliders, engineered specifically for the Lexus GX550 and Toyota Land Cruiser. These sliders feature a high-clearance, low-profile, non-tubular design that delivers serious trail performance without sacrificing daily usability.

Unlike traditional round-tube sliders, this design uses a 28.5° flat, angled bottom surface optimized for sliding over rocks and obstacles, while the top remains level to create a practical 4-inch-wide stepping platform for easy entry and exit. Built for real-world abuse, the sliders are TIG welded from 3/16-inch and 1/4-inch high-strength steel and finished in a durable wrinkle black powder coat.

Mounting directly to the frame, these rock sliders provide robust protection for the vehicle’s body while doubling as functional side steps. On select GX550 Premium and Luxury trims, installation may require ¼-inch BoxBolts® depending on frame threading—please check both sides of the frame to confirm if self-expanding hardware is needed.

All standard mounting hardware is included. ¼-inch BoxBolts® (12 required) are sold separately if needed.

• 1.3 metric tons (2,866 lbs): 2mm flex with full spring-back
• 1.7 metric tons (3,748 lbs): 3mm flex with 1mm deformation

Installation & Usage

The sliders bolt directly to the frame using factory mounting points. On certain GX550 trims, ¼-inch BoxBolts® may be required if threaded nuts are not present on the frame—sold separately. Factory step lamps can be mounted directly to the sliders using the included M6 hardware, or repositioned higher under the cab using OEM side step bolts (as shown in product images).

Torque Specifications:

• M10 bolts: 48 ft-lbs (65 Nm)
• ¼-inch BoxBolts®: 14 ft-lbs (19 Nm)
