🛠️ Tools Needed
- 10 mm socket
- Ratchet wrench (Manual or powered)
- Panel removal tool (Plastic preferred)
📝Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Disassembling The Cargo Area
- Remove the carpet cargo mat.
- Use a pry tool to remove the plastic covers over the rear D-rings.
- Remove the 10 mm bolts securing the rear D-rings.
- Remove the plastic trays by pulling up and out.
- Remove the 10 mm bolts securing the front D-rings.
- Remove the floor trim by pulling up.
- Unlock and remove the shelf assembly.
- If you would like to reuse the D-rings during the installation of your gear plate:
- Remove the keeper washer from the 10 mm bolt.
- Remove the D-ring from the plastic housing by prying out with panel tool
- Set the D-rings to the side for installation.
- The factory 10 mm bolts ad plastic housing will not be re-used.
Step 2: Installing The Gear Plate
- Take this time to clean the cargo area and carpet before installation of the gear plate.
- Insert the gear plate with the 4 recessed mounting locations facing up.
- Line up the mounting holes in the hear plate with the factory D-ring mounting points.
- Mount the gear plate:
- Option 1 (No D-rings):
- Place the provided spacers under the gear plate on the rear 2 mounting locations.
- Place the provided 10 mm bolts trough the washers, through the gear plate and through the spacer to secure the gear plate to the points where the D-rings were mounted.
- Option 2 (D-rings):
- Place the provided spacers under the gear plate on the rear 2 mounting locations.
- Place the provided 10 mm bolts trough the D-ring, through the gear plate and through the spacer to secure the gear plate to the points where the D-rings were mounted.
- We recommend using either blue or red lock-tite.
- Option 1 (No D-rings):
