Power Ratings and Efficiency
Amplifiers are typically categorized into two "Classes" with varying efficiencies and power wire size needs. Class AB amplifiers generally operate at 50% to 60% efficiency, while Class D amplifiers tend to be more efficient, ranging from 75% to 80%. This Trail Grid Pro wiring kit is designed to handle the energy needs of a Class AB amplifier with up to 700 watts RMS or a Class D amp with up to 1,100 watts RMS.
